The essential facilities include room service, front desk, daily housekeeping and 24-hour security. Wi-Fi is restricted to just the front desk. The lodging provides both breakfast and dinner. The food is served only in the restaurant and is not allowed to carry food to the room. The banquet will be in typical Kerala style. The mobile reception is limited to only BSNL and Idea. You should be adequately healthy to mount around 30 to 35 steps to reach the rooms. Furthermore, the hotel offers elephant ride, adventure Jeep safari, guided trekking in Munnar through forests, villages, tea plantations, caves and beautiful flower gardens, tribal visit and bonfire amenities.

The resort is situated in Kallar, 18 kilometers from Munnar Town and is close to attractive tourist destinations like Eravikulam National Park, Town Juma Masjid, St. Jude Church, Anamudi Shola National Park, St George Jacobite Church and Kurangani Hills. These are some of the places you can pay a visit when you want to expand your eyes to the outer world. The nearest railway station is Aluva (82 km) and Kochi International Airport is 81 km distance.

KANNADIPARA TREK

Kannadipara trek is a 3-hour hike that begins from Viripara Waterfalls, 5 kilometers away from Ela Ecoland. The trek is arranged by the forest department and functions from morning 8 to 4. The trek commences through tea plantations and gradually getting into the opaque forest and finally reaches a view point about the mountains. The leeches offer you to purify your blood as the route have a lot of bloodsuckers. The trek would be impossible if it is raining or if there is a possibility of rains.

PLANTATION TOUR AT ELA ECOLAND

Ela Ecoland itself is a different area which has abundant biodiversity. The profuse flora grants you fresh air and fruits. Plants and trees like oranges, a Rudraksha tree, lime, tamarind and a lot more constitute rich vegetation in this plantation. A small farm with a calf and some goats in the backyard adds cacophony to the tranquil atmosphere.

JEEP TREK TO VIRIPARA WATERFALLS

The Viripara Waterfalls within the Kallar River is a breathtaking tourist spot many of the travelers love to visit. The waterfall is just 6 kilometers away from the resort and is the best place to employ half a day. The chilling water here lures most of the guests to jump into the water.  The 4X4 Jeep climbs up the cliffy formations making it a miniature mountaineering experience. The best time to visit Viripara Waterfalls is during the monsoon when the water runoffs the check dam and people can stroll there.

LETCHMI ESTATE TREK

This trek consumes approximately four to five hours through different topographies. You would be driving to the hike starting point by an Auto Rickshaw from where you would be climbing the hills to the viewpoints and high meadows. The mountaineering would be with a native guide who is well experienced with the trekking route. The regular timing of trekking would be from morning 10 to 3 PM. The walk includes fruits and packed drinking water.

ANNAKULAM ELEPHANT SIGHTING

Annakulam is a native village after Mangulam which is 19 kilometers away from Ela Ecoland. Annakulam has got a river which performs as a boundary to the village and the forest. The river has got a spring and natives consider it has got a particle of salt which elephants love very much. Elephants come down from the jungle in masses and drink water from the River at Annakulam, during the night. Based upon the interest of lodgers, the resort has arranged a check with the resident villagers at Annakulam and sends visitors to enjoy this exciting sight.

• Instructions

Instructions are mainly for tree house which is the most attracting tourist preference. Only two adults can be housed in the tree house.  Children below five years are not allowed in the tree house. It is accessed through a staircase or hanging bridge is provided. The spacious balcony offers the view of the cascades and the serene river. The chamber is small and is different from a hotel suite. The bed is a king sized one with a spring mattress for two adults. The bathroom has modern water closet with a wash basin plus hot & cold running water is provided. But no shower is offered in the bathroom.

Other facilities are consisting of a pedestrial fan, tea coffee maker with sachets, intercom service, and 24 hours power back up and Security.
