Kannadipara trek is a 3-hour hike that begins from Viripara Waterfalls, 5 kilometers away from Ela Ecoland. The trek is arranged by the forest department and functions from morning 8 to 4. The trek commences through tea plantations and gradually getting into the opaque forest and finally reaches a view point about the mountains. The leeches offer you to purify your blood as the route have a lot of bloodsuckers. The trek would be impossible if it is raining or if there is a possibility of rains.
Ela Ecoland itself is a different area which has abundant biodiversity. The profuse flora grants you fresh air and fruits. Plants and trees like oranges, a Rudraksha tree, lime, tamarind and a lot more constitute rich vegetation in this plantation. Instructions are mainly for tree house which is the most attracting tourist preference. Only two adults can be housed in the tree house. Children below five years are not allowed in the tree house. It is accessed through a staircase or hanging bridge is provided. The spacious balcony offers the view of the cascades and the serene river. The chamber is small and is different from a hotel suite. The bed is a king sized one with a spring mattress for two adults. The bathroom has modern water closet with a wash basin plus hot & cold running water is provided. But no shower is offered in the bathroom.
